Proud Mary coffee shop on Oxford Street in Collingwood is more than a coffee shop, it’s a hive of activity, a meeting place for all sorts. The kind of place that you want to take visitors to. It’s alive with hipsters, youngsters and, just about everyone else
Pulling up outside on a Sunday afternoon, the car seemed to fit in perfectly. Parked across the road, I managed to find a window seat, perfect for admiring those curvy lines. With the sun hitting the buildings and local artwork, you could have almost imagined I had parked in lower downtown Manhattan, eastside to the city, where the the action is.
Once the caffeine had done its trick, my next stop was Fitzroy. The light seemed to be getting better, so I decided to take a shortcut down one of the local lanes.
Garage doors had become canvases for the local artists, a splash of colour in a suburban alley. Finding the best artwork on offer, I parked up and let the car do it’s magic.
